Hello! I'm Flora Richardson, a local Lymington resident. Having left the corporate world behind, and following my heart, going back to my roots, I launched The Forest Foodie. I set out on a mission to share my love of locally sourced, delicious food & drink with fellow locals, holiday makers and visiting yachtsmen alike, whilst supporting the circular economy of The New Forest.

The New Forest is bursting with variety when it comes to fresh foods. Everything from high quality meat to delicious fishy delicacies or New Forest shortbread to award-winning jams, I am surprised almost every day by the range of local fare and I feel privileged to be offered the chance to bring them to you! 

 

Nothing worth doing is ever easy and we have no plans to conquer the world. But with the help of our ever-growing list of fabulous producers & suppliers, along with the constant support of my husband and small team, we strive to be as sustainable as we possibly can and to have a positive impact on local businesses by sharing their stories and creating mouth-watering moments for you, our customers, to remember. 

 

Outside of work and away from the pickles and the cheese,  you can usually find me on the water sailing, mountain biking, walking with our Labradors Sausage and Otter or drinking rosé at The Haven.
